MRCOOL are the only one to hold the patent for the pre-charged line sets which make them the only company in the world manufacturing mini-splits with pre-charged line set. The other mini-split system you can see on the market, all required to be charged by an HVAC.
It's 7-year on the compressor and 5-year on parts. Once you receive your unit, you have 30 days to register your unit on the official MRCOOL's website. If you have any technical problems you can contact them directly and in case you are having a hard time getting in touch with them, you can always come back to us and we will make it happen faster as we are in direct contact with the manufactory.

For the DIY units, you can install it yourself and still get the full warranty after registering your unit on the official MRCOOL website.
Yes, it's actually a 3 in 1 system, it does heat, AC, and dehumidifies.
Each room that are separated by doors will need an air handler. If it's an open space, you'll need only one as the airflow isn't obstructed. In case the open space is bigger than the air handler capacity, you'll need multiple air handlers installed to work efficiently.
Yes, they are energy star certified. You can find the SEER of each system in specifications.
It varies according to the outside temperature. Basically, it will still operate but it won't be able to maintain the temperature that it is set to. If it gets too cold it will shut off and go into defrost mode.
You can find the operating instruction and temperature here: https://cool-minisplits.com/temperature
No, it doesn't change anything, it will just give you enough power to run all your air handlers at maximum efficiency.
Your air handlers will automatically adjust equally to the maximum BTU, it won't cause any damage, and this is automatic.
Ex: Let's say you get a 27K condenser and you have 3x 12K air handlers, and turn them all at the same time, they will all downgrade to 9K each as 3x9=27.
Yes, it's about 12ft long and 5/8" in diameter.
No, it doesn't. But some of our clients bought some from the Home Depot store and installed it themselves.
Yes! In fact, it's very easy to connect it, have a look at this video.
Based on a 8ft ceiling:
12K AH = ~550 sq ft.
18K AH = ~750 sq ft.
24K AH = ~1000 sq ft.
36K AH = ~1500 sq ft.
*AH = Air Handler (indoor unit)
Unfortunately not, the single-zone unit already come with a 25ft line set included in it and sealed. But do not worry, you can curl the extra line set behind the condenser.
The minimum AMP for the 12K and the 18K is 15A.
For the 24K it's 18A, and for the 36K it's 25A.
-
The maximum fuse (breaker) for the 12K and 18K is 20A.
For the 24K it's 30A, and for the 36K it's 40A.

No, you need at least two air handlers connected for the system to work.
The 27K condenser has a maximum of 3 outputs and the 36K condenser have 4 outputs.
For example, if you get 2 zones with a 27K condenser, you can add one more air handler later and if you get 2 zones with a 36K condenser, you could add 2 more air handlers later.
Also, don't forget that you need at least two air handlers minimum connected to the condenser for the unit to work.
The minimum AMP for the 27K condenser is 21A and for the 36K condenser is 30A.
The maximum fuse (breaker) is 35A for the 27K condenser and 45A for the 36K condenser.

To connect your condenser to your electrical board, an electrician would need to take care of the wiring as the regulation is different for each state.
No, the DIY units are made to be installed yourself as it's very easy to build and connect. You'll only need an electrician for the electrical part. We recommend you watch Youtube’s videos to see how easy it is. Watch the installation video here.
To get the full warranty, you just need to register your unit on Mrcool.com within 30 days after receiving your system.
MRCOOL performance test and cost to run - 18k DIY single-zone mini split
For the 9K, 12K, and 18K air handlers, you need 1/4" x 1/2".
For the 24K and the 36K air handlers you need 3/8" x 5/8".
The line set or coupler size should be calculated based on the air handler BTU, not the condenser BTU, be careful.
The line sets come only in two different size: 16ft or 25ft... But you can connect up to 3 line set together for a maximum lenght of 75ft.
Note that you would need a coupler to connect each line set. You can find the line sets and the couplers here: https://cool-minisplits.com/diy-accessories
Yes, it's coming with the couplers. Either 50ft or 75ft communication wire. You can find the couplers here: https://cool-minisplits.com/diy-accessories

Simply curl the line set behind the condenser.
Absolutely not! They will become useless and you will need new ones. You can curl them behind the condenser instead.
Yes, once you disconnect them by closing their valves, the refrigerant stays inside, therefore you can connect them again and it will work perfectly fine.
It's 4 pieces of 3ft each for a total of 12ft. More info here: https://cool-minisplits.com/lineguard
One line guard kit only allows you to hide one line set and is 12ft long. You can find more information here: https://cool-minisplits.com/lineguard
