The MRCOOL DIY Ductless Mini Split is capable of connecting to your home wifi network. This video shows you how to set up Wi-Fi to control the unit with your smartphone or tablet.

The Wi-Fi feature of the McCool DIY Ductless Mini Split will allow you to control your air conditioner from your smartphone. You will want to make sure that your router is connected to the internet, that your smartphone is connected to your router, and the unit is properly installed.

Inside the MRCOOL box, you'll find a MRCOOL Smart Kit. Inside this box, you'll find QR stickers, a Smart Kit USB, and a user manual.

First, you will want to install the Smart Kit that comes in your mini split box. Remove the cap from your Smart Kit USB and open the panel of the indoor unit. Insert the USB into the reserve port.

Attach the QR sticker to the side panel of the unit. Make sure it's placed conveniently enough to scan with your smartphone or device. Next, you will want to make sure you have the MRCOOL app installed on your IOS or Android device. When searching the APP Store or Google Play, search for MRCOOL.

Now, turn off the unit. Then, turn on the unit. Press the LED button seven times within three minutes or until the letters AP show up on your unit's display. When the unit displays the letters AP, this indicates it has entered the Wi-Fi setting mode.

Now, open the app on your phone. Be sure you create an account and register through the app. Next tap "add device."

Then scan the QR sticker you placed inside the unit. Then select your Wi-Fi from the list and enter your Wi-Fi password. You should now be able to see the device on the list in your app.

Now you're all set to use one of the coolest features on the MRCOOL DIY Ductless Mini Split. This will enable you to control your heating and air conditioning no matter where you are.
