Which wall unit do I need?

Single zone: match the series, size and voltage of your outdoor unit. Multi-zone: pick the size by the room it goes in.

  • Line set not included. Single zone: the line set comes with the outdoor unit. Multi-zone: each room needs its own line set.
  • Match the series. A DIY Select wall unit runs on a DIY Select outdoor unit, and the same for DIY EasyPro and DIY 5th Gen. Multi-zone is DIY 5th Gen only.
  • Match the voltage. The single-zone 9K and 12K run on 115V. Everything else runs on 230V.

How it’s delivered

Ordered on its own, it ships by parcel, straight to your door. Ordered with a system, it rides on the same freight truck as the system, so everything arrives together.

Box damaged? Refuse only the damaged item and keep the rest. We ship a replacement right away.

If you change your mind

Before it ships Full refund, minus the 3% non-refundable card fee.

After it ships Within 30 days, unused and in the box. We deduct the 3% card fee, shipping both ways and MRCOOL’s 10% restocking fee.

Questions

Single zone or multi-zone, which do I pick?

Single zone if you’re replacing the wall unit of a single-zone system. Multi-zone if you’re adding a room to a multi-zone outdoor unit. The 18K, 24K and 36K are the same unit either way.

DIY 5th Gen, DIY Select or DIY EasyPro?

Pick the series of your outdoor unit, since a single-zone wall unit only works with an outdoor unit of the same series and size. DIY Select comes in white or black. Multi-zone is DIY 5th Gen only.

Is a line set included?

No. On single zone, the 25 ft line set comes sealed in the outdoor unit box and can’t be exchanged. On multi-zone, each indoor unit needs its own Quick Connect line set, sold separately.

Does it need its own outlet?

No. It gets power from the outdoor unit through the DIY Pro cable that also carries the communication.

Which multi-zone outdoor units can it connect to?

Any DIY 5th Gen multi-zone outdoor unit, in a mix on MRCOOL’s matchup chart. 36K wall units only go on the 48K or 55K.

Does it have WiFi?

Yes. It comes with the Smart Controller Kit, a WiFi dongle, so you can use the SmartHVAC app, Alexa or Google.

Can I return it if I don’t need it?

Yes, unused and in the box. Email us first and we’ll set it up. The 3% non-refundable card fee and shipping both ways come out of the refund.
