MRCOOL DIY® Quick Connect® Line Set – 5th Generation
This MRCOOL DIY® Quick Connect® Line Set is designed exclusively for 5th Generation MRCOOL DIY ductless mini split systems. It connects the outdoor condenser to the indoor air handler and allows homeowners to complete installation without specialized HVAC tools.
Each line set is factory pre-charged with R-454B refrigerant and features patented Quick Connect® fittings. When tightened, the valves open automatically to allow refrigerant to flow, eliminating the need for vacuuming, cutting, brazing, or charging.
The copper tubing is engineered to resist kinking, but care must be taken during installation. When bending the line set, bends should never exceed 90 degrees, and all bends should be made slowly and gradually. Sharp or rapid bending can damage the copper tubing and insulation, which may lead to restricted refrigerant flow or line failure.
The line set is wrapped in durable, UV-resistant insulation to help protect against sun exposure, weather, and outdoor conditions, supporting long-term reliability and efficient operation.
Shorter line set lengths do not include a communication wire. When purchasing a complete MRCOOL DIY system with an air handler, the required communication cable is included with the indoor unit.
Longer installations are supported through extended configurations. For 66 ft and 75 ft total runs, multiple line sets must be connected using a compatible MRCOOL DIY coupler. The maximum allowable combined length per zone is 75 ft and cannot be exceeded. For multi-zone systems, each indoor unit requires its own dedicated line set.
Important Note: Any tools shown in product photos are for demonstration purposes only and are not included with the line set.
This line set is engineered specifically for 5th Generation MRCOOL DIY systems and is not compatible with earlier generations that use different refrigerants.
Usually ordered with it
Code requires a disconnect within sight of the outdoor unit, and the whip connects it to the unit. Every outdoor unit sits on a pad or a wall bracket.

If you change your mind
Cancel before it ships and you get everything back except the 3% card processing fee. After it ships, email us first. The 3% fee, shipping both ways and MRCOOL’s 10% restocking fee come out of the refund. Return policy
